Once in awhile, I get a question from someone wondering what we intend to do with Snomie.com and if this website is just meant to be a random snow blog or for some other purpose, so here’s a look at what we’re aiming to do.
What major things is Snomie.com aiming for in the next 6 months?
We’re aiming to develop awesome training tools to help you become a better snowboarder/skier. In my journey to becoming a better snowboarder, I always felt that it would have been easier if I had the certain instruction and training along the way. So, I’m putting everything I learnt in the last 5 years of non stop winters into making the training tools that I wish I had.
We’ve already started work on 8 separate training products. Each product will teach a different area of snowboarding/skiing that no one else is teaching yet. I had originally intended to release one big product with all 8 trainings inside, but I figure that by breaking it into 8 products, you only get exactly what you want and nothing you don’t.
We don’t intend to replace training websites such as Snowboard Addiction or make any products copying theirs. Rather, I think our products will be a perfect pairing for use with training tools from training websites like SnowboardAddiction.com
As I mentioned in the newsletter, the estimated release date is somewhere in the next 2-3 months. I’ll keep you guys updated via the newsletter.
What about Snomie.com after we release the products?
Snomie.com is meant to be a place for you to ask questions, get free tips and just generally interact with us via our blog or our fan pages. It will always be here, even after we’ve launched our products.
I originally launched Snomie.com because I think that anyone making products in the snow industry should be getting out there and interact with their audience. I think that having an online place where we not only provide free advice and tips, but also learn about and talk to the people who use our products is important.
I want to be able to create real relationships with our audience (all of you guys who love the snow!) so I guess that’s the real purpose behind Snomie.com, plus I’m not going to lie, it’s a lot of fun connecting with other people who are as excited about snowboarding as I am.
I’ll always continue to answer any questions and write about what you guys want to be learning about, so don’t worry, we won’t be going anywhere! 🙂
