I didn't know what photo to put for this blog, so here's a random photo from Whistler.
Everyone enjoys their skiing/snowboarding in slightly different ways, so which types of rider are you?
1) Lone rider
You enjoy riding by yourself. You’re most happy when you’re just riding the slopes alone with your own thoughts.
2) Group rider
You have to be on the slopes with your friends. It’s just not the same without your friends!
3) Early bird
You enjoy nothing better than waking up at 7:30 am to get a head start on the fresh powder and first chairlift rides up the mountain.
4) Afternoon rider
7:30 am? What’s that? Your morning riding starts at 12 pm. As far as you’re concerned the lifts don’t open before noon.
5) Non rider
You visit the snow for the lifestyle and party, rarely do you actually make it up to the mountain. You may ride a half day every 2 weeks.
6) Park rat
You think the best run on the mountain is the park and you lap that all day. You were once spotted outside the park, but that was because it was shut.
7) Freerider
Your ideal day on the hill involves fresh powder all day with steep chutes, wide open bowl and lots of nice tight tree runs.
So, what’s your average day like? For me it involves riding alone, in the afternoon, while doing laps of the terrain park. That’s not to say I don’t do other things, but I’m sure I’m not alone in having a preferred type of riding.
