Summary
Snowboard Addiction is looking for a new Chief Operating Officer starting at the beginning of November 2011. This is a year-round salaried position. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term career in the snowboard industry based in Whistler, Canada.
A Canadian work visa is required.
The main perk of this job is that you’ll be living in Whistler one of the best snowboard resorts in the world and have some flexibility with your work schedule to snowboard.
We’re looking for someone who loves to snowboard and wants to be heavily involved in the growth of a small company.
Chief Operating Officer
The Chief Operating Officer is in charge of running Snowboard Addiction alongside Nev Lapwood. It involves all areas of running a business and includes an extremely large variety of tasks.
- They are willing to get involved in any area when needed
- They help to build business systems and manuals to help the business operate smoother
- Setting schedules and managing people
- Check and review timesheets, summaries of work and making sure employees are on task
- Run company payroll
- Pay translators and affiliates commission through paypal
- Helps organize things like camps etc
- Checks, organizes and reports on mail
- Bookkeeping

Customer service manager
The general day-to-day up-keep of the business.
Essential business that needs to be kept on top of and taken care of 6 days per week.
Making sure all customers get what they paid for.
Handling emails, adding people to emails lists, processing sales, shipping DVDs.
We get back to every customer within 24 hours or sooner (usually far sooner).
Marketing Manager
Includes newsletters/blogs, releasing our content on time, facebook, twitter, youtube, snowboard communities and forums etc.
We get back to every customer on every media platform and take advantage of every possible interaction.
We have a planned release date for all our videos and approximate templates for sending out the newsletters and blogs.
Translator manager
The translator manager is responsible for dealing with all the various translators who work with SA, keeping them on task and getting stuff done.
This involves using final cut studio software to edit video with different language tracks.
A lot of organization is involved.
Keeping the translator manuals and documents up to date.
Property Manager
Collects rent from tenants at several rental properties.
Advertises and rents rooms at several rental properties.
Responds to and deals with any tenant issues and concerns.
Helps with renovations and odd jobs.
Cleaning between tenant changes.
Personal Assistant to Nev Lapwood
All sorts of various tasks that Nev may ask you to do.
May include driving and dropping off things or people.
Running various errands.
