Here’s one thing that many riders don’t bother with, but something they should be doing if they want to progress quicker:

Ride during weekday mornings.

Now, not every morning is amazing, especially in spring when it gets too icy in the morning, but in winter, mornings are usually your best friend for progressing your park skills.

Why?

Because other park riders are lazy. The park is basically empty in the mornings. There’s usually only a few others guys in the park at 9 am. Everyone else is usually busy being hungover or sleeping in.

What does this mean for you? It means you get the freshly groomed park features. There’s no ruts in the takeoff or landing of jumps and there’s no lining up. It’s like having the entire place to yourself.

That’s it. If you start riding during the weekday mornings, you’ll start noticing that most park riders get there at about noon and you can smile to yourself as you just had 3 hours of awesome park conditions to yourself :)
