Got a very good question today:
Which travel booking website do you recommend? What has the cheapest fares?
Great question! Here are the sites that I recommend using based on ease of use and best prices offered.
Flights
1) Kayak.com
Why?
As I posted in a previous blog, Kayak is the first travel site to incorporate ‘Hacker fares’. This means they pair up one-way flight specials from multiple airlines to create a return journey that’s cheaper than booking a return by itself.

Simply put, this means cheaper flights for you!
2) Hipmunk.com
Why?
Hipmunk.com are a re-do of the typical flight booking website. They’ve redesigned the system to make it really easy and simple to use.

Hipmunk Example Search
Everything is shown in simple, visual bars instead of the old confusing way. You can quickly tell exactly which flight is the cheapest and which flights have the shortest travel times with the least amount of stops.
It’s a very, very good system and they’re probably my favourite flight booking system to use.
Hostels
Hostelworld.com
Simply put, Hostelworld.com is one of the cheapest and most reliable hostel booking websites in the world. There’s a lot of less reliable, scammy websites, so in the case of hostels, I recommend sticking to the reliable, well known websites like Hostelworld.

They offer worldwide customer service and ratings for hostels which I’ve found very useful when making the decision as to which hostel you should book at.
Lift Tickets
Liftopia
I’ve already mentioned Liftopia in a recent blog, but long story short, Liftopia is flight bookings but for lift tickets. They gather all the offers and deals for lift tickets and let you search for the best deal.
Good luck on your journeys and I hope you have a great trip!
